Hello, my name is Leanne. I’m a qualified yoga teacher and yoga nidra facilitator. I have created Revival Nidra because I believe that yoga nidra is a magical and deeply powerful practice with the ability to transform lives and am deeply passionate about sharing it with as many people as possible. My vision for Revival Nidra is that it offers a safe space to provide deep rest enabling us to heal and find the balance that is crucial if we are to successfully navigate this over stimulated, exhausting whirlwind that is modern life.
Having experienced burnout and mental health problems following many years in highly stressful jobs, I discovered yoga. Not being one to dip my foot in gently, I initially started with intense physical yoga and, over time, came to the recognition that this is not what yoga is about, indeed it is only one part of it.
Through exploration of different types of yoga, breath work and meditation techniques I came across Yoga Nidra and have found that it has transformed my life completely by giving me a tool to re-regulate my nervous system whenever I need it. Not only has it helped improve my mental health and sleep patterns considerably, nidra has helped me to cope with a recent knee surgery following many years as a runner.
I am a qualified social worker with a deep interest in trauma. I believe that yoga nidra is a unique and transformational tool to facilitate re-regulation of the nervous system and to aid recovery from the physical imprints left in the body by trauma.
Trauma can include the trauma experienced through an extremely traumatic event, but it can also be evoked by everyday stresses over time (particularly for those of us who are more sensitive), which can result in disregulation of the nervous system.
All of us could benefit from spending regular time in the state of awareness that is yoga nidra.
My unique approach to yoga nidra explores powerful visualisations taking us into the deeper brain states gently combined with the use of sound and poetry.
I hope to be able to share with you all the benefits of nidra to be able to help you on your own journey to healing.

Anna
Anna has always had a passion for creating sounds, rhythms and harmonies, and in recent years has been exploring the world of sounds as a vehicle for healing, connection and intuitive expression. She is currently studying for her Diploma in Integral Sound Healing for Groups with the Sound Healing Academy and is progressing her practitioner training in Quantum Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls with Sound Universe, London.
Anna works with a variety of sound healing instruments including Crystal Tones alchemy bowls, which are a beautiful accompaniment to yoga nidra. Anna is also exploring somatic and restorative practices to support her journey and offerings with sound. Anna also teaches a weekly Ashtanga class at Yoga Kula, Leeds.
Anna and Leanne completed their 300 hour teacher training Yoga Kula in Leeds together and have since gone on to collaborate together regularly undertaking classes and workshops combining yoga nidra and sound.
Dawn
Earth Tree Yoga Studio is an intimate, welcoming yoga studio in Wetherby established in 2023 by Dawn Coulthard-Hullah with the aim of strengthening connection to self and to the natural world around us through yoga.
Dawn believes that yoga is for everybody and has built Wetherby’s first dedicated yoga studio with the aim of being in real service to her local community.
Earth Tree offers a varied and inclusive timetable encompassing various different forms of yoga and includes sessions aimed at children and families such as the very popular Family Yoga Club.
Leanne has been facilitating workshops and monthly yoga nidra sessions at Earth Tree since early 2024.
Dawn and Leanne completed their 300-hour teacher training together at Yoga Kula in Leeds, along with fellow collaborator, Anna, and have enjoyed working together to bring Revival Nidra to Wetherby.
‘Your yoga nidra led me skillfully through a journey into deep rest.
Leanne’s tone was perfect, keeping me engaged rather than falling asleep, whilst allowing space for silence and the beautiful relaxing sound of Anna’s alchemy bowls.
A deeply nourishing experience.’
Jo, Leeds
